We’re joining forces with @modkaew for a one-night-only menu by Head Chef Charlie Fung from Mod Kaew and Chef Lorenzo De Petris, throw in some magnums and jeroboams of Partida Creus and some rarer wines on the pour thanks to Pablo Padilla, Thomas Pho and Nico Lento. The Chefs are working on a collaborative menu, a fusion of cuisine and style with Chef Charlie Fung packing a hit of hometown Bangkok into the menu, applying a neo-bistro take on some Thai street food dishes, and rich Asian-Latin influence across some classic European bistro items. We’re super stoked to be in Mosto for the first abroad pop-up of this year, can’t wait to be pouring good wines and good times as well as cooking up our take on Thai flair. We’re more than thrilled to be working with our friends Nico and Lollo in this collaboration, really looking forward to bringing a piece of our home to Bali, get Smashed!!! – Thomas Pho, Mod Kaew Dishes on the menu might include snacks like Taco Chino; braised pork belly in Chinese spices, Jicama salsa, corn tortilla, and Yum Som-O; charred pomelo, shrimp, coconut, chili crisps. Appetisers such as White Prawn; Nam Jim seafood, marinated wakame, shallots, that will sit alongside mains like Cavatelli; water spinach, sambal matah crisp, manchego, and Grilled fish; Caribbean coconut curry, Johnnycake (aka fried coconut bread). Plus a special sweet corn cake to finish! “This event will be a bomb, I have yet to dine at MK but I know the place by fame from a friend that sells wine in Bangkok. The food has a super funky and rock’n’roll attitude. The guys will showcase 9 banging dishes, purely their take on Thai cuisine plus one pasta from myself and one special dish, made specially for the event by Charlie and I, using what’s available on the market.” – Lorenzo De Petris There is a limited number of bottles and seats, table bookings recommended, walk-ins welcome.
